Welcome to the JKA Pakuranga Karate Club

JKA Pakuranga Karate Club was established in June 2003 and ever since its inception has been
an active member of the Japan Karate Association.

In August 2005 the club was registered as an Incorporated Society under the Incorporated Societies Act.

The members practice the “Shotokan” style of karate under the guidance of Sensei Karl Naoroji,
a Fifth Dan black belt from the world famous Japan Karate Association.

The training methods constantly emphasize strong work ethics but at the same time the techniques
are taught in a very scientific way which optimizes both physical and spiritual progress.

Members undergo a rigorous training regime at the Honbu Dojo in the Pakuranga Intermediate School Hall twice a week on Monday & Thursday. Two further training sessions are available at Howick College dojo on Tuesday & Friday.

The Club has enjoyed remarkable success in the New Zealand National and Regional championships
over the years, having produced National Champions in the men, women and children's categories,
who have gone on to represent New Zealand in International Tournaments.
